About this record

Who built it, what it reads, and what it will not claim.

The short version

A clause record for a standard in transition.

This site is built and published by Gerard Blokdyk at The Art of Service. It is not affiliated with ISO or IEC. It states each requirement in our own words, cites the clause, and separates the edition in force from the public draft record. It does not quote the standard and it does not certify anyone.

What was read

  • The public ISO record for ISO/IEC FDIS 17065, standard 94443: designation, edition 2, stage 50.20, stage dates, 29 pages, ISO/CASCO, ICS 03.120.20, and the statement that it will replace ISO/IEC 17065:2012.
  • The public FDIS sample dated 1 September 2026: cover, contents, foreword and introduction, including the three stated main changes and the voting dates. The sample does not contain the FDIS scope.
  • The full text of ISO/IEC 17065:2012, held in our source collection, for the requirement substance that remains in force.
  • The ISO CASCO newsletter for July 2026, which records the decision to publish a new edition rather than a separate amendment.

What the record does not claim

The FDIS requirement text is not held. No page quotes it, paraphrases it or presents it as a requirement. The planning date is an estimate. No transition period has been published. The free check is a planning reading, not a compliance result. The kit is a working record, not a certificate. The watch reports changes to the public record and cannot report a change that has not been published.

How the pages are made

One reviewed data file drives every page, the free check, the kit and the watch. The file carries the source pointer on every field and a retrieval date. No page is written from memory or from a search snippet. The refresh script re-reads the public record, diffs it against the data file and fails loudly when the stage, the date, the title or the structure changes.
